The reason I mention this song is because I've heard it frequently grouped in with what I've heard termed, "Jesus is my Boyfriend" songs.
The songwriter, John Mark McMillan says this about the song: "the love that he's singing about in 'How He Loves' is not a pretty, 'Hollywood hot-pink' love. It is a kind of love that is willing to love even when things are difficult and messy. He says, 'This song isn't a celebration of weakness and anger. It's a celebration of a God who would want to hang with us through those things, who would want to be a part of our lives through those things, and, despite who we are, He would want to be a part of us, our community, and our family.'"
"Wrap me in Your arms," and "Draw Me Close" are a couple others I've heard criticized. I like and sing both songs without feeling weird about the words. But I understand some are a bit uncomfortable with them.
Read the Psalms and you'll see David writing words like as what's written in these lyrics.

LOL! This reminds me of an Easter program my daughter attended with a friend at a, ummm, I guess we term it, Charismatic church. The person playing Jesus wore a blonde wig and a pink heart stenciled on his cheek. She got up and left.

"Nobody can do me like Jesus..." is weird.

Okay, I have never seen anyone shout to that song. You're officially weird.

Maybe we're talking about different songs....
"Can't nobody do me like Jesus
Can't nobody do me like the Lord
Can't nobody do me like Jesus
He's my friend"
"He healed my body
Told me to run on
He healed my body
Told me to run on
He healed my body
Told me to run on
He's my friend"
Always see people shoutin to that one.

The sloppy wet kiss thing is sickening. I have heard a few of those type songs that are offensive to me.
Nonetheless singing songs of love to Yeshua is good not evil. Some cross a line into sensuality which should be reproved rather than encouraged.
Intimacy with the Lord is a good thing. The first command:
LOVE the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength!
Myself I don't see how people would be offended if this gets emotional. God is an emotional being who wants to be loved with our feelings as well as our mind.
