I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's due to him not relying on tithing as his income. He works a secular job and doesn't take income from the tithes like other Pastors do.

Again, wow. Does he believe like you do on tithes?

In the one message that I remember about giving, in the 6 years I've been there, he did bring up Malachi and state he did believe tithes was Biblical. But he also said he didn't expect anyone to miss bill payments or go without food or other necessities to pay tithes.

So, he does believe in tithes, but doesn't take a hard line on it.

Interestingly, that's how I present commitment to Christ. While in "theory" it appears to be a valid, biblical doctrine, certainly it shouldn't be viewed as a requirement if it were to create a burden or conflict with our worldly lifestyle.

Then you need to repent.

If it is God's will for your illness then why are you seeking medical attention to get rid of it?

Yes, because rent/mortgage payments and grocery's are so worldly. Smh

Re: non-tithers board.

I'm still looking for someone to present a scripture in the NT that teaches a 10% tithe... and when they find that one, they'll probably also find the one that prohibits beards on men too
