I agree. I decided not to make it a point of contention here. I love it. The people are great. I sometimes miss the church that birthed me, but I have too much history there. It was time to move on..

Berk, I never evolved to where I did not remember what I had learned. I am amazed as some very conservative ministers partake in events I could not do with my family. Yet, I don't condone what some other churches are a part of either.

Part of working out your own salvation deal.

Another story a preacher whose name was a household word in the South and pastored as great church and a tremendous preacher. He preached conferences and campmeetings all over the South. He went the liberal route destroyed his church and since then has pastored so-called spirited filled Methodist & Baptist churches. Became a truck driver and was so embittered. But I heard of late he too is coming around churches of his past bemoaning what he has done. But again over 30 years of roaming and caused his own dear mother to die not practicing the teaching of he late husband. He is sorry and if he had it to do over. He saw the bright lights that only existed in his ego driven mind.

So for the last 30 years has floated among the Charismatics and very liberal wing of Pentecost. Last Sunday night he shows up at a friend's church. The pastor had not seen the man in years but toward the end of the service recognized him and said he was glad to have him and asked him to stand and say something. He stood and told this ultra-con church this was one of the best messages he had heard in years and they should be thankful of the godly leadership of the pastor. After service he told the pastor he sorely missed the ole days and the good times and his old friends. I can tell many stories like this. But this just happened last week.
I'm sure you could.

I would go back to a conservative UPCi church to visit...if they were like they were back in the old days.

I went to one a couple of weeks ago...you would have thought you were in a methodist church IMHO.

They told me I was welcome back anytime and then told the friends that brought us to have nothing to do with us.

Gotta love it.

You did not answer my question, and you are going in another direction. I am not sure that we are partaking of the same conversation.
How did you get "conservatives are sissies" out of my post?

And explain what you mean when you say "I never evolved to where I did not remember what I have learned."
