These four in and of themselves should disqualify her to christian voters. Not to mention the other things she stands for.

Amnesty for ilegal aliens.
Higher taxes.
Supports single payer healthcare.

I understand and respect your opinion. However, many Christians don't see it as you do. For example when it comes to abortion and homosexual marriage many Christians are more libertarian/liberal in their politics. They believe that a woman has sovereign right over her body and any life that resides within it. To empower the GOVERNMENT to force her to give birth is to empower the GOVERNMENT make women "breeders". Also, these Christians believe that the GOVERNMENT has no right to regulate and define personal relationships. Given equal representation under the law... as a result the GOVERNMENT should not be empowered to deny marriage based upon race, gender, or religion. Thus people of different races, same genders, and different religious should be allowed to marry freely.

The issue isn't so much about rather these things be social evils or not. Most Christians agree that abortion and homosexuality is wrong. However, where many disagree is with regards to the notion that it is the GOVERNMENTS job to address those evils.

As for the scandals... that's politics in these United States. There is far more to some of these things that we realize and is being spun.

When it comes to marriage... GOVERNMENT shouldn't even be involved at all. Marriage was originally a private contract between two individuals and/or their families. Violation of the contract allowed for divorce. If two parties divorced and were not in agreement about the terms of separation, THEN they could take the issue to the court to have a settlement determined.

Frankly, I believe marriage should return to being private contract and cease being a civil (read GOVERNMENT) institution. All the problems we see with marriage today have been caused by the GOVERNMENT'S meddling with licensing and divorce law. GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF MARRIAGE.

If a Christian believes that abortion is evil, yet doesn't believe there should be laws in place to protect innocent life...because you do know that babies are incapable of fending for themselves....then obviously they're not a Christian at all. I can't fathom anybody walking and living in Christ, believing that a woman has a right to murder her own baby, just because it's part of her body. That's utterly absurd. I'm sure you or they have no problem with laws protecting your/their freedoms, liberties, and life....why can't babies have that same protection? As a Christian, abortion cannot be associated with politics. You don't put aside morality for the sake of a satanic belief that womens rights trump an innocent life.

A libertarian Christian does advocate private methods of resolving the abortion issue. However, they are leery with the idea of empowering GOVERNMENT to have a say in the issue either way due to the complexity of the issue and the various complications that can be involved. Libertarian Christians believe that it's best for individuals and individual families to make some life or death decisions privately.

As a libertarian Christian I believe that the GOVERNMENT shouldn't regulate our private associations and relationships. Marriage should be a private contract between private individuals. Get GOVERNMENT out of marriage. That's my opinion.

So... I don't think it really matters that Romney is a leading contender. I still think that the GOP and the DEMS are the biggest problem in this country.
