Jermyn, while I understand what Obama 'inherited', he didn't make the problem any better. In fact, it's now WAY worse.

Why is it the Government's job to help these folks learn a new skill? Why is it not their personal responsibility to get up and go learn a trade? Maybe if the Gov would stop giving out so much help then colleges would lower the tuition and make it more affordable for these 90 million folks. You do realize that is one of the main reasons tuition is so high right? The colleges know they can charge whatever they want and the Gov will just keep the loans coming. Why wouldn't they charge more every year? They know they will get it from the Gov.

Exactly! But for liberals like JD, they believe it is the government's responsibility to do this. They take the line from the Constitution, which says "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," to literally mean the government should give us each of those things.

Soon they'll be demanding 100% free college education.

FREEDOM, LIBERTY, INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY!!!! That's OUR plan. It worked for 190 years of our history until The Great Society came along and it's been more and more difficult for individual Americans to create wealth, which in turn creates a prosperous society for most. Poverty will never be completely destroyed, but there's less of it when freedom is given to the market to work it's magic.

Leave us alone and Americans will create more than enough jobs to take care of out of work Americans and moe than enough to help those who truly cannot help themselves.
