Now let Moma, tell ya what really happened.

He was on the very front of the 4 wheeler riding with his brother and one of the boys from the church, and Colton turned to turn around and he hit a "ridge" where we had dug the electric lines and it hit just right throwing John Robert off the 4 wheeler into the DIRECT path of the machine and he landed on his head and shoulder and BOTH of his ears are mauled up pretty good and he really sore in his rib cage area.

Scared the liver out of me when Colton came in screaming "John Robert fell off the 4 wheeler and he's hurt really bad!!!" The Skinner was on the computer and I was putting a 16 inch chocolate cake in the over and he got in front of me (he cannot out run me) so I yelled "move out of my way" and almost knocked him off the front porch and got to John Robert, who was holding both sides of his head and screaming his head off, and picked him up and made sure nothing was broken or bleeding-just scraped both of his ears and had mud and dirt all over him.

Anyway, his guardian angel probably looks pretty bad, but my baby is doing ok. ( I think he is just wanting attention from Moma and Daddy, and of course he's getting it!!)

He's feeling better now, he says.

Thanks for praying for him!!!

He's all cuddled in MY bed right now. He's had a pretty long weekend with company and playing all day and staying up late.

They had a water balloon fight today, while I was TRYING to take a nap, and got a little sunburned, so he's pretty tired right now and wanted to get in Moma's bed, so that's where he is.

He's spoiled rotten!!! (That's his DAD's fault, not mine. )

Hey... you folks take care of my Evangelist! Remember that I've got him scheduled for his first revival!

Gonna be kind of hard taking advice from me if he ain't got no ears to listen. Hmmmmmmmmm... that could even complicate the Bible:
* "He that hath an ear... hear"... NOT!
" "And I heard a voi... well..." NOT!

Preaching might be hindered too:
* "And as I was sitting there the Lord signed unto me and said..."
* "I was preaching my first revival but never did figure out how I did because Bro. Steadfast didn't know sign language..."

QUIT letting that child get maimed... He's supposed to start telling me some of his messages and then preach his first revival here! I've got too much to lose in this deal... well, maybe he's got a little more to lose if he's running over his own ears!

Honestly, I've never heard of running over your own ears before. I did have an uncle that bit a chunk out of his own... shall we say... 'rump roast'? I saw him sitting down really gently and asked if his back was hurting him. The replied the sad state of affairs that had led him to the acute injury: He got false teeth and, not being used to them, spit them out sometime in the night. The next morning he awaked he sat up on the edge of the bed... which happened to be directly on top of his 'uppers' which were slightly separated from the 'lowers' and the result was he bit his own... well... you get the picture. Tore a two and a half inch chunk out!

Take heart, John Robert! Perhaps running over your ears might not be quite as bad as chewing on your own bottom!

Elder Steadfast, John Robert came to me the other night during altar service and told me the Lord had spoken to him.

I asked him what the Lord had said, and he told me, "He said that if i would make good decisions and not take the wrong road He would make me a good preacher."

That boy is a case.

It did sound like something the Lord would say, though.
