You are REALLY positive. Most folks would be starting with the "woe is me" posts but here you are saying you are only going to be starting "whoa is me posts". I am not sure exactly what that is but am looking forward to reading them!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

My wife and I are headed to the big island in May of 2014. We're also planning a few days in Honolulu to visit the Pearl Harbor memorial. This is a gift to my wife for putting up with me for 25 years!
The pictures will be helpful for things to look for.

The place we stayed at is the Mauna Lani Bay resort on the West coast. This is the arid side of the island but for some reason all the resorts are there instead of the rainier and much more tropical East side.
We got a HUGE deal on this particular resort but the food, while excellent, was also ridiculously priced. We did manage to find a few places where we could eat for $30-40 but there were just as many where $100+ was the norm. The main restaurant at our hotel would have cost us closer to $200 had we gone. But having said all that, it WAS all really really good.

Beautiful pictures!
My niece lives over there -- I should go visit while I have a free place to stay!
