DM, My husband and I were coming home one night after midnight. The policeman that pulled us over said that we were driving on the white line. We knew that we weren't. He profiled our truck as one that hauls illegals. It didn't bother us in the least. We were glad he was keeping us safe.

With a 57% rate of illegals picked up in Arizona, many with felony charges, it's hard to focus on the few that were stopped. I can see how that can irritate some people, but if the Feds wouldn't interfere with securing the border, this issue would be stabilized and we wouldn't have this problem.

We are picking up the illegals here by the truckloads, no thanks to the Feds, and I am all for it. They need their criminal hides deported - muy pronto!

Just yesterday we were eating at our favorite Mexican Restaurant and a Mexican man at the table behind my husband kept smiling at me. It is so irritating as I know if I smiled back, he would think I was flirting. I don't know why these people are like this. All of my life I've had to deal with this. I have no sympathy for illegals. I am sick of the superstitious, lying, fake crying, etc., etc. we have to deal with. UGH! I'm sorry, this topic is a very sensitive subject in my life.

When my father (farmer/rancher) was alive, we had to sit very still and never look or talk when an illegal came up to truck window to speak to him. It is like a prison with these people here. I hate it!

They want Amnesty and that is what this whole fight is about.

I still say, we need an update to the 14th amendment, making it so only children born to citizens are granted citizenship. It served it's purpose, in granting children of slaves citizenship. We don't need it anymore. Illegal aliens use it as a means to gain a foothold into legality.

Unfortunately, given the current political climate, I doubt it will happen.

I agree. They really need to do something about the anchor babies - it's a HUGE magnet! And many coming here don't even want citizenship - they just want the freebies.

PO, your broad brush generalizations are disturbing. the majority of illegal immigrants are hard working and have family values doing menial jobs most americans won't do for low pay and no benefits. the only thing i have against illegals is the drawback to wage levels for working americans. that is why i support amnesty and unionization so we can raise wage levels for all.

The polls don't match the word on the ground. It is the Republicans having no strong and purposeful message or leader that makes them lose. No one wants an indecisive leader. Even though Obama is a Socialist, he laid out his plans. People are getting tired of the wimpy Republicans. I also won't discount voter fraud either.

PO is right. We are still 50% and far from a fringe, and you know it. It's just that our leaders have not figured out that there is a bloodless civil war going on in this country. Your kind backs Obama's abuse of power at the IRS, because you all see his tactics as weapons of war and fair game. Plus you see Obama as doing all these things "for the common good" so that makes it OK in your book.

In the end, your side simply does not have the competency to pull off your revolution. We still have the guns and will not surrender them. Your god's policies will eventually lead to bankruptcy and a valueless dollar. With no money, Washington's demands and edicts will fall on deaf ears. The States will then regroup and decide for themselves what is best for their futures. But fear not. I'm sure there will be some leftist enclave you can migrate to here in north America.
