Re: McGruder Marriage
The views are growing pretty rapidly, nearly 400, but I don't think this gossip fest will come close to the memphis pastor gossip fest of 250,000+ views. That's a record which will never be broken, IMO.

No, of course it won't--because the McGruder marriage isn't a scandal.

Re: McGruder Marriage
Mark 10:7-9
7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.
Blessings of God on this couple!

Re: McGruder Marriage
I did not know about first wife. That even speaks more to the situation. I have felt compassion for what he's been through. Sad!

That is horrible to hear! I, and most of us, would probably start thinking the Universe was conspiring against us at this point. The fact that he kept his faith is a real testament.

Re: McGruder Marriage
I remember his first wife. She was an awesome singer. She was killed in a tragic accident.
I think his next wife was Priscilla. She bravely fought cancer for quite a while and even had a book published about it. I have given a couple copies of that book away.
More recently he was married to Brenda Heitzmann. I know her Mom and Dad and she grew up in the same church we attended back in the 1960's and 70's. I don't know if they got a divorce or if the marriage was annulled or if it is still "legal."
Now he has another wife? Well, the Bible says it's not good for a man to be alone.

Don't recall hearing his first wife sing..... but there is no way on God's green earth that she could ever top Priscilla. JMHO
Priscilla had a very special anointing when she sang and ministered!!!

I only heard her once live as far as I can remember. It was not my cup of tea.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
