However, if I were a betting man.......I would bet that if you teach a child to rebel against the God given order of authority in their home.....when they become of age (even if they get "saved" in violation of their parents) they will most likely NOT serve God and will have submission issues with God and others as long as they live.

No. I believe that in today's world it's a necessary evil.

Pastors such as this, and I know several, are on a very slippery slope. They place themselves in an untenable position legally. All it takes is one parent willing to take legal action. They have no defense in most States.

Re: Parents Consent To Baptize Children
I also agree that pastors should not violate parental authority. My Grandparents were opposed to my Mom joining an appostolic church, but their authority was neither questioned oe violated. Mom was very nervous when broaching the topic due to the opposition she faced, but she did obtain my Grandpa's consent.

No, they should not.
I'm sure most would use wisdom and be in contact with
a child's parents and visiting with them in person, hopefully
leading them all to the Lord.

Yes, but some wouldn't. That was shocking to me.

Re: Parents Consent To Baptize Children
Would it change your perspective if the child was 16 instead of 9-12?

Re: Parents Consent To Baptize Children
Lawsuits can happen if a child gets baptized without parental consent.
