Yes it is an action, as far as we choose what to wear. But how does it affect our behavior?

Re: Local Baptist Pastor falls

What's the big deal about a local baptist pastor's fall?
According to UPCI doctrine that fellow isn't even saved.

I read the other day about a pastor of a church near us that was arrested for child molestation. A Pentecostal church, I don't think he is affiliated with the UPC.
Of course not.

Are we having the same discussion? I must be missing the point.

Re: Local Baptist Pastor falls

Preaching that followers of Christ are commanded to dress modestly is Biblical.

The problem with many "Chrstians" is that the Christianity they are taught has very little bearing on what they wear, where they should and should not go, and etc.

For example, some of the guys who are active in my church thought it was a harmless idea to go to Hooters in order to watch a ball game for fellowship. They went and apparently had a great time! Hooters has excellent wings, so I'm told. But I was the only one in our circle that had a problem with this, and I found that very disappointing.

Like children, Christians need to be taught about living a separated life.

We need to be taught about holiness, and holiness does include what we wear.

Re: Local Baptist Pastor falls

Sorry to get off topic here... I've never been to a hooters and I'm not sure they even have them here in my country but isn't hooters a family restaurant? I've seen movies or television shows where people go there and it seems like a pretty average sort of place. They serve alcohol but most restaurants do.

My point was that it is part of our behavior not separate and it can be a very telling part of our behavior.

As to the adultery comment I am also confused as to it's relevance
