Re: Not Bad For OP Huh?

As I read your story, I thought of Jesus and His ministry while He was here on earth. The ability to heal, restore, and deliver was there for whoever believed, and needed it. Yet, there were those who came, saw, and left unchanged. For whatever reason... which eternity will only give us a glimpse of... not everyone receives from the Lord as we desire them to...

Bro. Ron, as Christians, all we can do is outstretch our hands, in love as you and your wife did. Go the extra mile whenever you can. Sometimes the miracle you desire will take place... sometimes all you see are the seeds you planted, and nothing gathered in return. That's okay. Perhaps somewhere down the road the seed you planted in her heart will be harvested by someone else, and that will be okay too... because it is all for Jesus.

I would continue to pray and lift her up before the Lord. You never know when the day will come when HER miracle will arrive, whether you know or not.

I will be praying for this lady too... God knows who she is.

Thank you, he does indeed know her!

Ron, there are a lot of caring and compassionate people in the world and we do know that OP's are some of them too.

I started looking at vacancies & realized that she didn't have enough from her welfare rates to afford anything, I got down on my knees & wept & talked to the Lord saying "I can't help her--I feel inadequate"
Well, God opened a door at a women's shelter that was newly renovated & "clean!"
God is good!
She called my wife "mom" & me "dad" which i didn't mind.
I & my pastor went to the probation office to try and advocate on her behalf & she was cussing & swearing up a storm. She reminded us of a 6 year old with a temper & foul mouth. Such is the deal with those with Fetal Alcohol syndrome.
My Pastor got in touch with a private clinic in BC that treats this sydrome.
He talked to the President & they knew her & were surprised that we were attempting to work with her. In fact she said, "are you burnt out yet?"
"Nobody wants to deal with people like this.
Insert broken heart here.
In early fall she started going down hil with somebody on the street getting her hooked on Crack. I am sure she was hookiung to get the fix.
She came to a Bible study & was very disruptive, calling us liars & Pastor tried talking to her to please settle down as that was innapproprate behaviour" she swore at him & at his wife & at my wife.
She has never came back & people that have seen her on the street say she is in a bad way.
We still pray for her & miss her & want to help her.

I am just mystified when people say that OP's are hard uncaring, no compassion.
If they only knew.
Ron, I dont do this normally, and HAVE NEVER done it online before but I feel the Lord speaking to me about this situation. I feel that in your prayers, you need to pray against a "generational curse" that has been on her since birth and also, somewhere in the foster system she came into contact with another curse that is operating against her. When you pray just mention those things to the Lord and ask Him to either reveal the exact cause to you or to someone close to her so that the line can be broken!
