Deacon, From listening to the issue being discussed, I am seeing that there are many, and growing, who don't believe there is any more harm in moderate smoking of marijuana as opposed to moderate drinking. And just from experience, I'd have to agree. That is why I would need to study more on the gateway drug.
Although I tried, very minimally, a few other things, I never was into the drug scene. Never smoked a lot of marijuana. However, I was very involved in the alcohol scene. It was one of the major factors as to why I gave my life to God.
Of course, this conversation should probably have it's own thread. I remember the the topic being discussed, although, it was probably on NFCF.
