Unforgiveness is indeed a sin.

It's funny how many times new understanding seems to come along with a painful or life-threatening condition on the part of the one who has preached it so straight.

I can tell you that if my daughter was condemned to die in childbed by her father-in-law, and then he later ran to a doctor when he got in a bind, I would find that hard to take.

But the question stands..

When does Faith in God turn into pride??

reminds me of the story of the man hanging on to the side of a housetop while the rest is under water..

A Boat comes by.. and says.. Hop on... the man says..No I'm waiting on God to save me...

A helicopter comes by and says..Come Aboard...the man says..No I'm waiting on God to save me...

and he dies...

Gets to heaven and asked God..Why didn't you save me??

God says I sent a boat and a helicopter what more were you looking for??

I'm not going to judge someone's faith.

I personally believe that it is always Gods will that we go to the Great Physician for healing of our sicknesses and diseases.

But the sad fact is that most of us modern ppls have become so used to going to a man, that we no longer are exercised in faith for a healing. As soon as the first sign of pain hits, we are off to the doctor.

Now to balance what I am saying, I believe Gods best is healing by HIS hand. But if you are not in a place in faith to receive that, by all means, go see a doctor, and trust God to take care of you though that avenue.

Brother, I am anti-doctor insomuch that I cannot AFFORD to go to the doctor. I don't have a lot of choice. Besides, my wife used to work in a hospital and I have seen so much quackery as a result that I truly don't wish to go to one.
LET ME STATE THAT I DO NOT PREACH AGAINST GOING TO THE DOCTOR.

Now that that is out of the way, we do believe in natural health and healing. After all, many drugs today have original counterparts in nature. Or they are made up of petrochemicals which I do oppose since it is well known that fuel oil is toxic.

We do take herbs and eat natural foods, mostly organic. Our health is better than ever. My wife had a fever for a couple of days last fall. It was the first malady of any kind that either of us has had in 5 years. I attribute some of that to natural foods. I also give God glory for good health.

If someone needs a doctor, then go. There are plenty of them. My only siuggestion would be to make sure that they are reputable and have a good name in the community.

To me, it's not a matter of faith as much as it is lack of common sense. Makes me wonder how these people even get out of bed and get things done. I mean, if you have so much faith, why bother getting out of bed and going to work and cooking and such. Why not just have faith that God will do it all for ya?

Like someone else said above, people won't save themselves even when help comes along then people wonder why God didn't save them. Is God supposed to make those people walk out of their burning house while they are inside on their knees having faith that God will blow out the fire and restore their house to new condition?

Some folks have been known to mistake a strong constitution for trusting God (faith).

As long as they do not believe in eyeglasses or walking sticks either, then they are consistent...
