I know. But this guy was saying that he was self righteous. Having known this guy for a long time I think most of his conservatism comes from thinking that the old paths were better. After going down that road he has come to the realization that there are hurting people and people don't always have the same convictions.

To me there that is room for personal diferences in non-salvation issues ,as we're not all cut out of a cookie cutter.
But I'm glad the brother has decided to shun a holier than thou attitude ,because we are only what we are by the grace of God and nothing else.
