I too know the pain of the knife from those you help and they betray your confidence, your trust and your love...those you keep up month after month and when you get on to them they turn on you BUT I know the ones that have been helped and knew how to apply the help and today are great men and women in the harvest.
Just lately several have said to me Sister Alvear you have done your part...you have helped a lot of people get started and you need to rest now and do other things...but my spirit cannot do that...No matter how much some take advantage there will always be someone you help...Your life will be repeated through someone. I never grow weary of helping people.

I cannot ever be the preacher some have grown up to be or the singer that some have grown up to be...however when I watch them...I rejoice...I only weep over those that would not listen and went shipwreck...
Mother A, when I read this, the Word came to my mind...

2 Tim 2:24-26

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

KJV

You have patiently taught and led, meekly instructing as the Word states...though your heart deems to do more for someone, it is up to the individual to choose to be chosen.

What a tender heart and servant mentality you display. My prayer for you today is that God will continue to strengthen your body, granting you many more years of service as you and Bishop lead folks to the Way of the Cross.

There can be no greater joy than to know that your life of Kingdom service is repeated in the life of another.

God bless you, Mother...

Well, we should have been long gone but had tire trouble...so we went and ate and did a few other things we needed to do and the car just got ready. Brother Alvear says since it is almost 5 PM here we will leave early in the morning as we might have tire trouble again and it is very dangerous to break down at night here...so guess the Lord did not want us to get home this afternoon but tomorrow sometime...

Those scriptures gave me cold chills I just used them today in conversation about someone who will not listen and is headed down the wrong road...
