Fox News is far better than the rest, that's for sure.

My wife is very conservative politically.
Fox News (or Faux News to some) is turned on in the morning and runs all day. She will watch local news between 4 and 6 in the afternoon, but then has to see Fox for national and international news from 6-7. We usually watch Bill OReilly from 8-9 but some times I just can't take everyone talking over each other. Some times we watch Hannity at 9 but seems like he has the same shrill "The sky is falling" panic every night. My wife refers to MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS, and ABC as "those commie networks." She was not raised that way but has changed over the years. Her Dad was a truck driver, Teamsters Union member and lifelong Democrat. He was very strong union and was unhappy when our daughter took a job with Eastern airlines and referred to her and others as "scab" employees. He was very much against "the right to work law" which he called "the right to wreck law." He was pretty racist with parents from Virginia (Old Virginny as his mother said) and raised all his life in Cincinnati. One time he told us, "I'd vote for a n....... if they ran him on the Democrat ticket." He did not live long enough to get that opportunity.

24 hour news coverage means you see the same thing over and over if you watch for long, but, it does give a person a chance to see the major news stories at any time they may tune in.

Re: Fox News Destroys Competition

There is the opinion that Fox news, or for that matter any of the other "news" sources cited here don't even show up for the competition...

Re: Fox News Destroys Competition

if fox is so popular, why couldn't they deliver the presidency to mccain? or rush for that matter. i think the numbers are inflated because corporations are afraid of msnbc.

Re: Fox News Destroys Competition

I think our problem is we get our viewpoint from the news. All are as lying and as corrupt as our government. There is no such thing as unbiased reporting of the news on any channel.

Except for Fox News, don't you mean? They're fair and balanced. I know that's true: I heard it on Fox News.

So The Neilsen Ratings are in the back pocket of Fox? They're the ones who give the ratings. If they're skewed why aren't PMSNBC and the Clinton New Network crying foul? It's hard for you to admit that a right leaning news agency destroys then other left leaning news sources.
