Re: Law of Moses vs. the Law of God (Ten Commandme
Who was Moses? And where did he get the laws from in the first place? Did they originate with him or does ALL law come from God?
James 4:12
"There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?"

If you're refering to the way the Law of Moses commands that one keep the Sabbath such as: 2 No kindling of a fire ( Ex. 35:3), No traveling ( Ex. 16:29), etc.... you're wrong headed. These ceremonial Laws of Moses were nailed to the cross. The Ten Commandments still stand! What is commanded in the Ten Commandments regarding the Sabbath???
Exodus 20:8-11 (ESV)
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. We must REMEMBER the Sabbath day.
We must make it holy, a time to commune with God.
We must rest from working.
The entire family is to participate.
That is ALL that the Ten Commandments command regarding the Sabbath. Therefore, if I choose to remember the Sabbath day I must make it a day of devotion or religious fellowship (going to church gatherings), I mustn't work... in fact... I could go on a nature hike and commune with the Lord, read a book or devotion, or spend the day at the pool praising God every minute for this wonderful life. One of my favorite Sabbaths was one wherein I went fishing and took my Bible along. God and I hand a wonderful time together that day. When I came home we cooked up the fish and celebrated together as a Christian family. You see, I'm called to bring the entire family/household into the devotion. That's all! A day of rest, fellowship with the creator and the saints of God, and family. What a delight! Praise Jesus!
Here's the issue Epley... you are in rebellion against the Ten Commandments.
You can repent. But it most likely would cause you to loose some popularity in the Apostolic organization you're a part of. You keep all their man made rules so well... why not OBEY God?
Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Do you BELIEVE Jesus??? The Law of God didn't pass away. Heaven and earth are still standing! Only the handwriting of ordinances did (Law of Moses):
Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; So... perhaps you should get your own house in order by repenting and sanctifying yourself in accordance to God's Law before trying to condemn another.

Think about it this way. God's moral and eternal law is embodied in the Ten Commandments. The Law of Moses was a second body of Laws designed to teach Israel how to obey those commandments in their covenantal position. The Law of Moses also used ceremonial methods to gain forgiveness of sin that were symbols, types, and shadows of the New Covenant. The Law of Moses, with it's handwriting of ordinances, was nailed to the cross... leaving the Moral Law of God (the Ten Commandments) standing. Now, we have the Law of Christ. Instead of approaching God for forgiveness through ceremonies when we've broken the Ten Commandments, we approach Him through Christ Jesus. Jesus now takes the place of the Law of Moses.
The Ten Commandments were'nt done away with. Only the Law of Moses. Please note, the Ten Commandments were the heart, or core, of the Law of Moses. They are also the heart and core of the New Covenant. Without the Ten Commandments... we'd not know what sin is. Sin is lawlessness. The breaking of God's commandments. Without the Ten... people can make anything up. And they do. We see this chaos in the Apostolic movement often. Everything from coffee to beards is condemned as "sin". Why? They have forsaken GOD'S LAW. If they embraced God's Law and what it means for those in Christ (TRUE sanctification)... we'd not see this silliness.

Re: Law of Moses vs. the Law of God (Ten Commandme
7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
so what is Paul talking about here ?

God's Law was made a ministry of death by the Law of Moses. Read the Palms about God's Law, a Law of great great peace for those who love it. The Gospel has replace the Law of Moses, which made the Law of God a ministry of death.
