"The day of a man's death is better than the day of his birth."
Since the focus here seems to be on physical death...I'd like to suggest a premise change, maybe.
Paul gives quite a list of things that he says are "worthy of death" in Romans 1. I guess, while most of us have never committed a murder, we are all guilty of some of the things Paul lists. I know I am. And, as such, am worthy of death. But, thank God, "His mercy endures forever"!.
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Are we guilty from birth, or does God wait until a baby actually disobeys parents (e.g.) before issuing a death sentence? (Specifically as punishment, that is. I know everyone will die. That's not what I'm asking about.)

Maybe. But does each individual human actually deserve death as punishment for their own sins?
You can't really divide it out that way... it's Adam's sin that causes us to sin. Death is now a state of being as well as an event. We are all dying physically and spiritually - incapable of changing course aside from the Christ's redemption.

When Paul wrote that all have sinned, and that the wages of sin is death, isn't that pretty clearly saying that each individual human deserves punishment for their own sins?
