JL, Admin is always walking that fine line trying to please all and not offend any. In that spirit we wanted to wish everybody a Merry Christmas while at the same time being sensitive to those who do not believe in or celebrate Christmas.
Wishing eveyrbody a "little" Merry Christmas seemed like a good compromise. Those that celebrate Christmas would be addressed while a minimum of offense to those that do not celebrate it would be generated.
What about people who are offended by compromise?

There's nothing we can give to God that is going to add or subtract or impress him in anyway. Whatever God expects from us in return is only for our benefit.
He wants us to believe in Christ and live like Christ and the Spirit of Christ will help us in the transformation! And He graciously clears us of all charges against through the blood of Christ! It's a win/win situation!

Don't we have to love Jesus more than we love our own families, to be worthy of Him?
I always thought that WAS loving Him more. The great commandment: love others as you love yourself, even as He loves us.
Those who love me will keep my commandments
So by loving our families as He loves us we show our love for Him?
