Please...
And, congrats to RT! Such a well-deserved award for a great group of musicians/artists...

That is a bad example, if the Mormon tab choir received the nomination it would have been the mormon church...
It should be more like saying that if Cain gets the Republican nomination for president, the Chicago Bulls will be in the white house.
I thought that RT was blasted by the institution/momma/UPCI...

They are all recent graduated from Indiana Bible College in Indianapolis, except the drummer, who is an alumnus of Gateway College of Evangelism in St. Louis.

They are, but it's mainly by the older people. The Word Aflame Bookstore refused to sell their product, not sure why though.

Because it is ran by old fogies.... They have NO sense of what is popular with the younger culture of the church.

Re: Royal Tailor Grammy Nomination
Having just looked them up, I must say that I am not surprised by this turn. I am only surprised that the bookstore refused to sell their music. I suppose that it will only take about four more years or less and that will change. As was said a number of years ago now, when you open the door to one thing, you are going to get it all.

Re: Royal Tailor Grammy Nomination
I have posted these links before but this thread is appropriate for them again so here goes.
The first is the music video of The Royal Tailor Band's uptempo song "Make A Move". The second link is for an instruction video on how to do the "uh oh" dance moves!

Re: Royal Tailor Grammy Nomination
I must say that I was more than disappointed when I heard them. I have to listen to this type of sound constantly in the world. I love to get away from it when I listen to Gospel music.

Re: Royal Tailor Grammy Nomination
Jay, they have slower songs you might like better. I hope you listened to the words of the Make A Move song because the lyrics are great. A lot of UPC / Old Time Pentecostal folks judge a song because they don't like the style without at least acknowledging the lyrics are good and meaningful.

Re: Royal Tailor Grammy Nomination
A lot of older folks judge a song by it's beat! Simply ridiculous. Be thankful these guys aren't out on the streets drinking and doing drugs, instead they are on the road doing the work of the Lord, winning souls to Christ. The Grammy is the least part of it...yeah it's pretty cool, but that's not their main focus.
