Ecclesiastes 7:25-26 (King James Version) I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:
And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.
The "death" which Solomon mentioned that is exceedingly "bitter," is not referring to the first death (which is "common" to all mankind), rather his statement notes the destructive, and utterly irreversible affects of the second death - eternal punishment in the lake of fire. This is what the corrupt, misleading teachings of the "great whore" shall bring to all whom she snares!
That is so sad...it makes me feel helpless..,,.. because the whore even makes Islam look good....
in fact islam her first offspring grew in size and strength to check her....
I'd say Islam is her firstborn son..

Reading this, I feel that river just likes to use the word "whore."

Re: Has anyone seen that great whore in Revelation
I think that I know who he is referring to, Ferd. Unless I am mistaken, he is of the persuasion that the RCC is the woman in Rev. 17. Islam could possibly be referred to as an offspring of Rome (more likely Orthodoxy, but not enough difference). Mohammed was influenced by 'Christians' who taught him the Trinity. He rejected it as pagan, and later attacked it with great violence.
