Did you see his interviews yesterday? He was the bomb! CNN said, "If he does this well in the next debates, he is back in this campaign." I'll post the interview links on his hate thread. LOL!

Funny they try to say he hasn't been a contender. InTrade has never, thus far, taken him out of the second spot. Romney sits first waiting for someone to replace him. Every news item includes Perry in the list. He is not going anywhere. And when you study him closely - he has the experience and the conservative record. Didn't do well in the first debates, but now that he knows what the national stage expects of him, he has excelled, strong and capable.

I'll be watching, I have supported him as our longest serving governor in Texas. I didn't see the recent interviews.

I put them in the "Why I don't like Rick Perry" thread. I might need to start a new thread, move my posts and re-title it - "Why I love Rick Perry!"

Re: Newt Gingrich

Sometimes Newt just rocks! I like him!!
Quote:
Gingrich's Lincoln style challenge to BHObama...

At 8min. 55sec. -

"I know how Lincoln set up Douglas.
(laughter from audience)

...

"When Lincoln announced, he said there are a hundred and five days in the campaign.

"Let's debate every day.

"And Douglas, said 'I don't think so.'

"And Lincoln began following him.

"Wherever Douglas appeared, Lincoln would come the next day.

"And after about 3 weeks, Douglas figured out that the newspaper coverage was always 'Lincoln's answer' and not Douglas' speech.

"So, I promise you,
if you will help me on January third,
if I end up as the nominee,
in my acceptance speech,
if the President has not yet agreed,
I will announce that from that date forward for the rest of the campaign,
the White House will be my scheduler,
and wherever the President appears,
I will appear four hours later."
(loud and extensive applause)

Re: Newt Gingrich

And while he remains the most intelligent man in the room, it's hard to settle on him 100%. It's hard to trust his record. I think, just like Romney, it's going to be a bit of a problem for him.

Quote:
Professor Cornpone
Ethanol lobbyist Newt Gingrich and us—and the future of the GOP

"Given that Mr. Gingrich aspires to be President, his ethanol lobbying raises larger questions about his convictions and judgment. The Georgian has been campaigning in the tea party age as a fierce critic of spending and government, but his record on that score is, well, mixed."

Re: Newt Gingrich

Gingrich is rising in my personal opinion poll.

Im still not settleed and I could still vote for
Romney
Perry
Cain
and now I add Gingrich to the list.

Honestly Cain gives me pause because he has not had any experience in government at all. Being a businessman is not enough. It has never worked before for a U. S. President.

If Gingrich can avoid his person self destruct button, i might vote for him.

I am however sick that the left is getting away with painting the conservative black man as a white woman raper.

Re: Newt Gingrich

Personally, I've always liked Newt Gingrich. Yes, he comes with some moral indescretions, but who hasn't sinned among us. Let's remember... David was the greatest king in all of Israel's history and yet David had many wives, committed adultery with Bathsheba, and arranged for the murder of a brave and faithful soldier. And still God states that David was a man after His own heart. Gingrich is a Christian and is a balanced conservative. Who's to say Gingrich couldn't possibly prove to be one of the greatest Presidents we've ever had?

If Gingrich won, I'd vote for him without any reservations. Besides, we're electing a President, not a Pastor. His private life isn't as important as his policies. And in my opinion, Gingrich is superior to all the others on policy.

Long live Newt Gingrich.

Re: Newt Gingrich

I want to vote for Perry. But Perry is going to have to show me something in the debates.

Perry is a hard nosed politician willing to really scrap. I like that. I just dont know if I trust him yet. he has time to grow on me.
