Re: General Conference 2011 Kentucky

My former pastor's son posted a video on Facebook of the opening worship song (I believe that's what it was), and I really liked it. Not sure what it was, but it was a guy singing. Beautiful song...

Re: General Conference 2011 Kentucky

Several years ago how they did it was that audio streaming and very low quality (almost unwatchable) video streaming were free then you paid for the higher bandwidth video streaming. That seemed fair to me. I hate that there is a charge for every quality level. Some rich UPC donor ought to underwrite the streaming so everybody could watch for free. $75 or $150 is a lot of money for some families and for someone like me who is just mildly curious and not UPC it just does not make sense.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

$75 IS a bit pricey. It is actually cheaper to watch a single Sundays worth of football on the DirecTV Sunday Ticket.

Interesting, because I am not. Unless ... I would have advance warning of controversy!

Wouldn't pay a nickel to hear AM get the whole assembly to speak in tongues, and his drawl drags too far.
