Re: Starbucks Calls For Donations Suspension

At any rate, I was quite surprised to read about Starbucks, a company who has traditionally attracted the more liberal-leaning crowd since they're based in Seattle, doing something like this. Wonder what some of their customers think, if any of them think or discuss politics at all. I'm sure they do. Guess we'll hear about their stock either going up or down as a result...

Yes, extremely liberal. That is not why I don't go there, though. It's because it's the worst coffee I have ever had in my entire life. My DIL was here last month and I bought her a gift card. It's her favorite place.

The coffee isn't something I subscribe to. If I want strong, I'll drink Community's "New Orleans Blend & Chicory." HOWEVER, Starbucks double chocolate chip frap with extra chips...YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! I'll take that in a venti, please...

You might as well eat a piece of cake. What a way to ruin a good cup of coffee.

The smell of Starbucks is one thing, something I love. The taste of their coffee??? Nope, with the exception of one or two flavors. But, overall, I don't care for it too much.

Never tried their breaded luxuries, although they do look good. But, give it a matter of time and momma Michelle (Obama) will come in and say "Now, now, now, children, this isn't healthy for you" and, well, there goes that one too...

If they are my only choice, I get what is their normal for the day and have them put 1/2 water. It then makes a normal cup. You could float a horseshoe in that nasty stuff. LOL!

I use various organic brands and find them to make a better cup of coffee by far. We had a house full last month with my FIL having a heart attack, our son getting married, company in from out of state. I ran out of organic and used some Folgers Colombian - Eeek - that pounded my head and stomach!

My husband drinks coffee during the winter months, so I'll try that for him. He balks at my $8 a pound organic coffee. He pretends he doesn't like it so I will stop buying it. LOL! One time I put it in another container, made a pot, and asked him how he liked his coffee. He said, "It's really good." Busted! LOL!
