It's the coolest - their winter time. That's why we always go to Kenya in June/July too. I go there to cool off!

Re: Going to Brazil in a Few Weeks!!
Sounds like a great trip Sherri! My missions trip is not until next May. The wife and I are going to try and reach that unreached demographic - people on a 15 night cruise from Miami to first off the coast of Africa to the Canary Islands then on to Europe with stops in Spain, France, and Italy, ending up in Rome where we will spend a few nights trying to convert Roman Catholics at the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, etc. We are taking donations for this missions trip by the way if anybody wants to help.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Going to Brazil in a Few Weeks!!
We will have a nice time. Shrerri is such a sweet person to have. When some people come you feel uneasy the whole time afraid you might say or do something or even the accomdations might not be just right or the food will not be good enough or whatever...not so with Sherri...
At one of the poorest homes she went with me to visit and on that day the sweet little sister had been without water and things were...well...if you have been on the field in some of these places you will know.... however the little sister fed us pineapple and Sherri ate with such a smile...that little sister will forever be impressed that my American friend would come to her hovel and really feel at home.
On the mission field people watch your expressions, your actions and believe me they know if you really love them. It is so amazing the love Sherri transmits to the people.
We just might do another soup kitchen while she is here the people love to do it and many hungry people are fed...We will see...
Wish everyone her could come to the mission field at least once...it is from a mission field we learn true thankfulness at God´s many blessings.
There is going to be some other Americans visiting up in our state so we will try to get Sherri back on the straight and narrow!
