Does anyone think there was a GOP candidate present in that debate that has a real chance at beating the President?
I sincerely don't-- but I felt that way before the finding of bin laden.
Chris Christie, IMO, will get in the ring around September. Not because he particularly wants to, but because he is patriotic enough to do his duty. Same for Paul Ryan.

It is very early to be saying this and I am not suggesting I believe this will happen but this might be a year that harkens back to early American History where a candidate is drafted instead of seeking out the nomination.

I read that Paul Ryan might be our candidate by default.
And I read an excellent article at American Spectator about Herman Cain. It is based on the movie The Outsiders. I'm not endorsing Cain, but I am endorsing the American Spirit - the outsider against the establishment.
Quote:
He's an Outsider in a nation of Outsiders. Cain is, in Hinton's Outsiders terminology, a conservative Greaser taking on the Republican Socials and all the Socials who run Washington. He is the quintessential American in the heart of America.
And Americans are no chickens either.
Look out.
The rumble between America's Greasers and Socials has begun.
