I think what's asinine is preaching against facial hair on men and teaching for doctrine your own personal preferences. That is what is asinine, Ferd.

if we are talking about SP, then lets be clear, he is certainly not doing what you charge above.
if you are speaking in general about some folk who do this... well then we are far closer to each other...
Brother Pixler is not teaching any doctrine that I know of from personal preference. He is very conservative and I know some folk who go there.

"Platform Standards" are just to project the image of your church that you want to project. They have nothing to do with right or wrong or with actually living for God. They are window dressing. You are saying to the church members, "this stuff has nothing to do with being saved and living for God so you can ignore it, BUT, if you want to be on display on the platform you have to follow certain rules." It separates the congregation into the stars and fans or into the workers and watchers.
