Whether you agree or not, it still is the truth.
Jermym, you have it right. I heard those "Walker Tapes", he is a crook, he is for the Koch money, not the people of Wisconsin.

The dot.com telecom buble blossonmed during Clintion and cratered a few months before 9/11. a slick trillion dollars. The mortgage bubble grew during Clinton and Bush warned of it very early ion office,. The dems had their heads in the sand.
During Clinton, we had a Republican congress. That was the other variable.
Spending begins with a budget from congress.

We don't need a scalpel applied to the budget. BO's budget cuts spending minimally. It actually adds MORE to the national debt. He took a schillacking in November because Americans want the indebtedness to stop. Deep cuts need to be made. A balanced budget needs to be proposed. I believe he proposed $90 billion in cuts in a $1.1 trillion budget. That's peanuts.
|
That is Paul Ryan's point. He wants to view every portion of the budget systematically and try to fix what is broken.

That sort of put us in an economic tailspin.
But, back to the topic.
Can you cite one fact/statement/anything to back up your assertion that Walker is a crook?
Also, do you believe anything should be done to the public sector unions in Wisconsin?

The dotcoms and telecoms started to crumble 2 quarters before 9/11.

I disagree that a scalpel is needed to cut the spending in W.D.C. The fact is that the Federal Gov. is such a bloated monstrosity that it needs to be cut down with the largest possible blade invented.
Some places that we could cut out of the budget and never notice that the items were missing are as follows:
Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Department of Education
Planned Parenthood
National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)
Public Broadcasting
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Federal Reserve
Czars
Most foreign aid

The left or in other words Soros sock puppets and union shills say he is a crook. That means he must be a crook. Of course Soros has 2 felony convictions.

also, union tactics historically have included violence, injury and death to anyone who disagrees with them or tries to hinder them. The Democratic legislators may be fearful of union reprisal if they agree with money saving measures proposed by the governor.

I think that many agree that our federal government should not be involved in these things and should not be spending our tax money for them.
I think the Department of Education is an attempt to impose a national curriculum and government "think" on all students to contradict religious and moral values they may be receiving at home. However, leaving education policies at the local level could result in the return of segregation.

in the sand?
or
maybe some place else?
Also, the mortgage bubble was very profitable to Barney Frank and his gay lover so it could not be touched.

Re: Obama Criticizes WI Governor; Shameless Hubris
We have a segregated school system now as families take their children from high crime/failing schools and move them into schools that are more to their liking. Part of the way to fix this would be to cut away the welfare that gives parents no desire to show any responsibility for themselves or their children. It is sad to say that most of these problems occur in Mexican and African American families, and in districts where they are prevalent.
Also segregation is an issue that should be addressed at the local level instead of being imposed from the top down. While that might mean that there will be injustice, it will make men accountable for their actions. Further, it would also be more expensive for a school district to enforce a segregated system than an integrated system.

Re: Obama Criticizes WI Governor; Shameless Hubris
The problem with education is a conglomeration of many problems that have been brewing over the last 40 years and we are only now beginning to reap the harvest that was sown at that time.
By the way, I have some other budget cuts that I think might be beneficial to the nation.
Funding for the U.N.
Salaries for Reps., Senators, President, and the high level bureaucrats.
State Welfare (Funding given to the states for various unnecessary projects)
Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac
