Really curious of those who voted YES on Women Preacher's but NO or NOT SURE on Women Pastor's. I want to know WHY, and if you believe there is scriptural support. If so, what scriptures do you appeal to?
However, let me say this. If I lived in a place where the only option was a church pastored by a woman, I would attend with faithfulness as the other options would be seperation from the body of Christ.

Historically, (speaking of stories recording in scripture), God has chosen more men than women to be leaders, by a landslide. There are few exceptions, which is what leads me to believe that God can and does make exceptions. In other words, He has set precedents, which I might interpret as reflective of His preferences. Secondly, Paul points out that women who are married are concerned about the "things of the world" and how they may please their husbands. He also says that they should be keepers at home and that a woman's adornment should be "good works." (becoming to a woman professing godliness)
Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed
I Corinthians 7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
I Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; I Timothy 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

"To see no being, not God’s or any, but you also go thither,
To see no possession but you may possess it—enjoying all without labor or purchase—
abstracting the feast, yet not abstracting one particle of it;…."
--Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass, Song of the Open Road
Also, in Proverbs 31, I see a woman who is concerned with:
1. Her relationship with God
2. Her husband and children
3. Her household
4. Her community
I see little or no reference to her being involved in positions of authority or leadership (political, spiritual or otherwise), or even in any way connected with ministry, such as the priesthood or serving in the temple in any capacity. Yet, despite that lack of involvement, she is praised as virtuous and her value is greater than precious jewels.
This is an interesting quote from a Torah website:
"Because a Jewish woman is so busy building a Jewish home, she is exempt from synagogue services. If a woman is unmarried, childless, or has children old enough to attend synagogue themselves, she most likely does attend synagogue. But if she has young children, her staying home and taking care of them is a far more pressing mitzvah. This is a kindness from Hashem, both to women and to children. Children have a right to their mothers' presence and attention, and when they are small, they demand so much of it that obligating women to arrive for prayer services on time would only add stress to their lives. For a more detailed explanation about women's exemption from certain mitzvohs, read my article On Equality."

Within both of those letters, Paul says women should be silent and not speak. Is this a biblical mandate?
What of a single woman? They don't have a husband to care for. Can't a woman care for her husband and shepherd?

Cultural attitudes about women intertwined in this?
Do you believe a woman can be biblically consistent, and be a pastor? In other words, are women prohibited from being a pastor?
