Re: Define "Apostolic"

I wonder how many people will wind up sitting in hell with perfect definations of the term godhead and the term apostolic.

Do you still weep when you approach Him? Do you still long for His presence more than for the next breath? These are the ways we should be "defined".

Well said!

A man without knowledge is a ship without a rudder. Applying knowledge without understanding is an adventure doomed to failure. Understanding without wisdom, however, presents a grave danger to everyone.

Re: Define "Apostolic"

Apostolic/, The teaching and commandments of The Lord Jesus Christ as He commanded his disciples to carry onward and teach every believer. It is not the doctrine of the apostles, it is the doctrine of Jesus. He states clearly, " He that believes in me the things that I do He will do also, and even greater things than these shall he do.
The word apostolic has been attached by man to certain groups of people who are similar in faith and pratice in following the same doctrines as the apostles did. It is only attacked when someone has an axe to grind. It is also attached to the UPCI. They are not the only ones who has chosen to follow the commandments of Jesus.
It really comes down to this, Who do you want to believe? Jesus or man?
