Just love the "blame America" and let's just tell Jesus all these fabulous blessings He has given America are bad, bad, bad.

I'll be singing a tune but more along the lines of - the most hated tune ever sang: "I TOLD YOU SO!!!!"
And I guess I should not be blaming America for being greedy - I need to keep my critcisms aimed at Christians that are not to participate in the greedy gluttonous wantoness over indulgences of your worldly Americans...so I take that back:
America will go forth doing what comes natural and I guess she should - but Christians need not carry on in the same manner.
And the blessings that have been afforded us can be used for us or against us. ANY blessing can be used for us or against us. It depends on what you do with the blessing.
Jesus is good and He gives good gifts but sometimes we begin to worship the gifts instead of the giver of the gifts.
The stats should make Christians repent or testify that they are not greedy because they live a moderate holy life. They ought not DEFEND the sin(s) even if they are guilty of them.

Is that the only way to live a less greedy lifestyle?

•The population is projected to increase by nearly 130 million people - the equivalent of adding another four states the size of California - by the year 2050.
•Forty percent of births are unintended.
•Americans eat 815 billion calories of food each day - that's roughly 200 billion more than needed - enough to feed 80 million people.
•Americans throw out 200,000 tons of edible food daily.
•The average American generates 52 tons of garbage by age 75.
•The average individual daily consumption of water is 159 gallons, while more than half the world's population lives on 25 gallons.
•Fifty percent of the wetlands, 90% of the northwestern old-growth forests, and 99% of the tall-grass prairie have been destroyed in the last 200 years.
•Eighty percent of the corn grown and 95% of the oats are fed to livestock.
•Fifty-six percent of available farmland is used for beef production.
•Every day an estimated nine square miles of rural land are lost to development.
•There are more shopping malls than high schools.
Reducing consumption without reducing use is a costly delusion. If undeveloped countries consumed at the same rate as the US, four complete planets the size of the Earth would be required. People who think that they have a right to such a life are quite mistaken.
Americans eat 200 billion more calories per day than necessary -- enough to feed 80 million people.
While millions of people around the world starve to death, Americans spend $30 billion a year on diet programs. One-third of the U.S. population is significantly overweight.

And yet we have people starving in the U. S. also.

I hope you know these people personally. Because we're not suppose to bear false witness.
And how is your earth friendly tent? How are you getting along sipping a little water each day, and rubbing those two sticks together now and then to get a little heat on a cold day? Because the words beam and log come to mind....

YEP, and that ought not be with all that we have. We dont even have to send buckets of money out of the nation to care about our fellowman - we can help those that are right here.

When we point out the faults of others, I would hope the person doing that isn't guilty of those faults.

I agree with your premise. We should help those right here, right now, and I believe we do.
