Re: Seascapes regarding big oil and food prices.
I'll tell you what you can blame higher food costs on too...
When you continually to dilute the dollar supply with trillions of dollars in "stimulus" all that does is deflate the value of the dollar in your pocket. Food prices are going up for a number of reasons... but the mainstay in the show is the continued diluting of the dollar.
The Fed continues to print money out of thin air and the dollar is now worth 2 cents compared to it's value when they took over.
So what this bloated government doesn't tax away from us then then devalue through their actions so they are still stealing from us even when our money is still in our pockets. Not to mention stealing from our kids, our grandkids, great grankids and the list goes on and on.

If you vote a certain party it means you agree with their platform, because you can't make them take out the things you don't agree with. Therefore you are in support.
The republicans don't have ice water running thru their veins, they're actually thinking about someone else...our future generations.
The democrats care about the votes they'll get now and the power they can keep, now.
If you think they care if you get your disability check, you're kidding yourself, they care if they can buy your vote with these "entitlement" programs.
Do you not get the fact that the government is out of money? We owe more then we're taking in. The people only have so much money, even the rich only have so much.
There has to be cuts, the government can't keep printing money out of thin air, don't you understand what that is doing to the dollar ??? And what that means for our children, grandchildren?
I think the democrats are selfish to keep doing this to our country and the future generations. I would like my grandchildren to be able to make their way in this country without the heavy burden the dems want to place and have placed on their backs.
You want to talk about medicare.
Quote:
From Newsmax — CBO Chief: Medicare Benefits Could Be Cut:
WASHINGTON — Congress’ chief budget officer is contradicting President Barack Obama’s oft-stated claim that seniors wouldn’t see their Medicare benefits cut under a health care overhaul.
The head of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, told senators Tuesday that seniors in Medicare’s managed care plans would see reduced benefits….
The heart, the soul and the core of the TWO part Obama Health Care Plan (remember the first portion of the Plan creating the rationing boards and the enforcement boards was hidden in The Stimulus Bill) is to cut costs by denying and rationing care. The end result is to OPPRESS health care FREEDOM for every person and family in OUR country This is the most INHUMANE and UNETHICAL means of cutting costs. President Obama has spoken 124 times on health care in the past 3 months and on each of these occasions he has stated that “health care will not be rationed under our plan … especially for seniors.”
So it looks like he NOT only disagrees with the “little old country Doctor from Michigan” but according to the non – partisan Congressional Budget Office his statements on the issue — all 124 times — are NOT accurate in their eyes and analysis as well. Some might say he has been misrepresentative. Others might say, “He has repetitively lied to the public.” You decide.
Two numbers to remember — according to the President, Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid, to pay for their plan they will cut $500 Billion in Medicare over 10 years. The problem comes with the next number. In 10 years there will be 30% more people in Medicare due to demographics. So their plan cuts $500 billion and there will be 30% more people in Medicare. There is only one way this can work — RATIONING and DENYING of care for every person in Medicare.
It is a “good thing” the President and his administration snuck the rationing board (The Federal Council For Comparative Effectiveness Research) in the Stimulus Bill and funded it for $1.1 BILLION. They have a lot of work to do as soon as possible in denying care to Americans.

Are you taking about John Kerry that cheats on 400,000 taxes for his new Yacht? How about the income tax cheats. Geithner, Rangel, Sebelious, etc.
Vouchers to private schools doesn't hur public education. In fact it is irrelevant. Obama killed vouchers in D.C. for poor minorities. Wonder why?

Re: Seascapes regarding big oil and food prices.
My 87 year old mother said "I thank God that I am not a republican" and after reading all your republican post...I totally agree with her. We have sooooo much to thank God for that even at her age of 87, she has more common sense than all you you republicans put together. You can not see that without Medicare and Medicaid, the elderly will not be able to go to nursing homes, and I can see you republicans taking your parents or grandparents in your homes and taking care of them in every way. You better know what you are getting into when you do away with the people's living.

Re: Seascapes regarding big oil and food prices.
SS - this just shows how out of touch you are. I cannot think of one national Republican leader who has called for ending Medicare and Medicaid.
You have bought into the lie that the Democrats use to stir up individuals to vote for them.
However, if we continue to spend as we are, that will end Medicare and Medicaid.
Let me give you some smalll facts to digest.
The average debt for each household in California due to govenment union pension benefits is $40,000. How long do you think that state can remain solvent?
The federal government has accumulated more new debt--$3.22 trillion ($3,220,103,625,307.29)--during the tenure of the 111th Congress than it did during the first 100 Congresses combined, according to official debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury.
That equals $10,429.64 in new debt for each and every one of the 308,745,538 people counted in the United States by the 2010 Census.
The total national debt of $13.859 trillion .. now equals $44,886.57 for every man, woman and child in the United States.
In fact, the 111th Congress not only has set the record as the most debt-accumulating Congress in U.S. history, but also has out-stripped its nearest competitor, the 110th, by an astounding $1.262 trillion in new debt.
By the way you still haven't answered my questions that I have now posted to you in 2-3 threads.
Are you avoiding confronting the fact that your hero has feet of clay?

It has been in the media for months, I do not know how you can say that I am out of touch.... Ryan Paul wants to privatize social security. He wants people to put their money into the stock market instead of social security. Many republicans has said the same thing. Where have you been? What will happen to people that loses their retirement in the stock market? Medicare is already being tampered with by the "Medicare Advantage Insurance", then when people need to see a specialist they are refused, it happened to my aunt. She went back to the original Medicare. It was just in the news yesterday about the republicans cutting Social Security, when they should cut their own pay checks.
What are you asking me to answer? What is it about clay feet? My hero is Jesus Christ, and his feet is nail scarred !

The original verson the the prayer went something like this.
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector publican. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Re: Seascapes regarding big oil and food prices.
The Publican was probably the least respected member of society. He was a Jew who went to work for Rome collecting taxes. He was viewed as a traitor.
So, one Publican, turned to God, and we have something to praise God for. Now what are the RE-Publicans going to do. Maybe they will turn to help the poor, like God would want them to do, or will they just want to collect more money to make the poor, poorer. I would never want to be a re-publican, a redo of the publicans of the Bible days.

How vouchers hurt the public schools, means less money for the public schools, less money means less qualified teachers and less updated books. The federal support for schools are on the number of children in schools, you know that. So the more students that go to private schools with their vouchers, means less students in the public schools. Now what did you mean by your last statement "Obama Killed vouchers in D.C. for poor minorities." Are you meaning that because he is half black? If so shame on you.

Do you realize if we have vouchers, there will also be less students in gubment schools?
Costs go down when population goes down.
