I guess I'm missing something. If you're going skiing wear ski pants. When you're finished for the day go inside and put on your skirt.

Modesty means not drawing attention to oneself. Sometimes people get so concerned over appearance that they become immodest! Then they make up for that by taking the term "peculiar" out of context as though it means weird, when it really means a purchased thing, and claim they are still fulfilling scripture! So two biblical terms are ruined in the scripture distorting doctrine -- modesty and peculiar. Easier to change the bible's meaning than one's tradition.

Don't know about hardcore anything.... But, my wife and daughters do wear some swimwear with spandex type material that does not hold water. They have shorts and also a little skirt.
