I could be wrong, but I think Berkley is refering to this hell
Mark 9
(43)And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (44) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (45) And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (46) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (47) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: (48) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Ok, thanks. Just wondering which hell was being referenced.
Sounds like the fire that's still burning after a few thousand years somewhere over in the Israel area....
Eze 20:45 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field; 47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. 48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
I'd think the unquenchable fire that's been burning for so long would be a tourist attraction and on the itinerary for the Holy Land tours. A fire that's a few thousand years old would be quite a sight, IMO.

Seekerman, I think you should probably wait for Berkley to mention the hell he is refering to instead of responding based on the scripture I gave. Just sayin'

Oh, and my answer is no, I don't believe in God's torture chamber...i.e., 'hell'.

I'll wait and see if he's asking about the hell you referenced. I'd guess probably so....that's the most popular hell within Christianity.

THIS ONE:
Matthew 25:40-42 (King James Version)
40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Luke 12:4-6 (King James Version)
4And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

2 Peter 2:4 (King James Version)
4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Hades/Sheol is the grave, right? I believe that in the N.T. the ref to Gehenna is a metaphor for Tartarus. JMO.
