Re: An Old Song
When I logged back in to Apostolic Forum, I saw another Sam and found that he predated me in Ohio, but likely, he may have known several of the same people I fellowshipped with and knew. I was based in Columbus, Ohio from February 1972 through January 1975 and worked with Rev. Franklin D. Campbell at the United Apostolic Church which started as an ALJC church and I drove the church bus to campmeetings several times.
I edited and published the quarterly Up Way for Christians magazine from Summer 1972 through Autumn 1973 and wrote several of the Up Way tract titles while there.
I also spent time with th late Rev. Philip N. Porter in Peebles and preached in his church there and in a vacation campground where he held regular meetings.
I have forgotten many of the names of ALJC pastors I knew at that time as I also fellowshipped with the Apostolic Brethren, the PA of JC and the UPC.
I treasure memories of many of the old songs listed below and especially so since the UPCI church I presently attend sings mostly the modern songs that do not ask for deeper consecration, do not mention the blood or suffering of our Lord Jesus for our salvation and healing and they are repeate over and over to the point of boredom for many.
