their preaching style is shallow and they focus on themselves alot in the references. i have been spoiled on listening to Chuck Smith preach the bible and other Expository preachers. i just realized tonight how much i have changed. all the neuro-linguistic triggers have disappeared. one guy was semi-crying on command while pounding in a point... and it didnt move me in the least.

Ya, I have found myself listening to most sermons posted on here in their entirety more often then not.
And yes, the real conservative ones reach for the staple of amen inducing versus, which may or may not have anything to do with the message in question (assuming there IS a message). "Oh I was GLAD when they said onto ME, let us COME into the HOUSE of the Lord!" for starters...

I believe it started off with a local church but is not the official (or unofficial) organ of WPF.

I find that they keep referencing themselves... and how they are either:
1. Not caring if someone is offended by the truth they are hard balling (which makes no sense .. if someone came to the church to worship with them... why would they be hostile?)
2. They are unpopular because of "X" (boo hoo..)
3. Each one seems to have a story of someone who came to simple truth and walked away from it for various reasons... (super positive reinforcement there guys)
4. Lots of stories, few scriptures.

Listening to some guy named Shoemake called Recipe for Revival
He is hitting every above point plus discussing how disobedience over stuff like not obeying your pastor on TV will blow you out.
I am still waiting for scriptures.

It inspired me to repost a AFF thread I made some time ago on Facebook.
