Re: Ladies, I have a question

I am not a lady or women, but here is an idea....make hair bows out of them when you are done. Sell them and help recoup some of the cost.

You just HAD to bring up the COST didn't you?!!!! JUST LIKE A MAN!!!!

NO hair bows unless they are for children! I think the leaves are too big anyway.

My daughter said, "Mother will all the money you've spent on this shower, you could have bought everything that I need and we wouldn't have needed to have a baby shower!"

Needless to say, I'm a little touchy on the cost issue.

You could also buy the appropriate sized gift boxes (for a vase), glue leaves to that and put together whatever arrangement you want in the box. You could build the arrangement into clay or real dirt, if the flowers are real. Then you could spread (depending on theme) a pretty moss, glass pieces, whimsical filler, etc., to cover the clay/dirt.

I've pondered on this ever since you posted and it just hit me this morning what you are describing. Glue the leaves to the box and use it for the arrangement instead of a vase.... ???? That would be really cute.

My creative juices just don't flow as well as yours seem to. But I have gotten great ideas from you in previous threads! Looking forward to pictures of the shower and all the decor!

You know the type of boxes you see stacked around at Christmas? They come in all sizes, but are mainly square. I know Hobby Lobby always has boxes and I think the oval shaped ones would be even more elegant.

I'm still not sure the fake leaves would be as pretty as using real leaves. I'd have to see what it would look like. Perhaps spraying a finish to give them a shine would make them look more real. That would work!

Now what this means is that I would have to take the stems from ALL of the leaves in the tub and clip the three leaves off EACH stem. Now that is a lot of leaves to trim. LOL! Not happening any time soon! LOL!

Hope I don't forget my camera for the baby shower!!!! LOL! I have a note to make sure it's charged! LOL!

I remember that!!!!!! - you knotheaded, dude!!!

I am using that same punch that Margie suggested. Everyone loves it and it's so easy. NO, Tim-may we do not spike our punch! This isn't a church shower though, so some of the people I know coming would probably like that though!
