The end doesn't justify the means as far as Christians are concerned.

Since when is any kind of a spammer a Christian?

I'm just sayin'... DKB's housekeeping post isn't really anything more than that. It certainly shouldn't be seen to rise to a level where everyone else can thump their chests with pride and speak in scornful terms about "the fallen nature of the church."

It was just a bit of housekeeping.

Sorry, Pel, I got my wires crossed. I thought Sam was trying to justify this thread's existence but he was making a general statement.

For a slow Saturday, I guess almost any topic has its own justification. I think DAII was just trying to stir up some conversation. No harm. But the topic doesn't really spark anything with me other than my own usual rants about people who clutter up the Internet with the kind of stuff DKB (or his assistant?) was trying to corral.

I gotta go in a bit. My son's big farewell volleyball tournament is at hand. (I've been stalling while all the kids wear themselves out).

Re: DKB polices his Facebook Wall: Your Suggestion

In light of what a conservative politician had to endure recently when someone posted a blatantly racist cartoon onhis FB page, I think this was a very wise thing for him to do.

After all, he is in a place of leadership.

If there is any inkling that he endorses something "unsavoury", the consequeces could be huge.

Isn't there an option where you can 'not allow' people to tag you?

Re: DKB polices his Facebook Wall: Your Suggestion

Seriously? I don't blame him. I'd do the same if I were him. I know some people who have had things tagged to their FB that they had no part in.

I actively check my security settings and posts on a daily basis. I'd even require responses to be approved before posting if I could, but I haven't seen that feature on FB.

Good for DKB. Bad for DA who's probably upset because he can't spam his HMH website on DKB's wall anymore.
