Most Christians consider themselves trinitarian because that is what has been considered orthodoxy for years. Among Christians, trinitarians outnumber oneness by a huge margin.

Oh I know Sam. What I mean is that Engle and his crew from the The Ramp in Hamilton, AL. are all F,S,AND HG baptizers. No biggie to me of course.

IHOP baptizes in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost into the name of Jesus Christ. And yes as far as I know they are still Trins. If they can change on something as big as the new birth I can see them leaving Trinitarianism, hopefully soon.

I don't think IHOP is about *leaving* anything, but about pursuing God.

The group *is* large when you consider the ripple effect. The church I attend isn't an IHOP, but it is in many ways influenced by the movement. We use a lot of their worship music, and the preaching is very close to the same. But...so is the preaching from some names I'd mention here and be all sorts of jumped all over....lol

I hear messages about sin all the time. And I hear about hope, and transformation and restoration and grace. My church, and those like it, do teach the necessity of baptism (but not for salvation....salvation is by grace alone) and the necessity of being filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (again...not for salvation....salvation is by grace alone). Something can be necessary without being part of a formula.

Just how "trinnie" are they, really? A lot of groups will simply "cut-and-paste" some "Doctrinal Statement" that makes the so-called "watch dogs" of Evangelicalism happy but won't really practice nor preach dogmatic Trinitarianism.

The point is thats the degree to which Jesus hates sin. No he does not want you to pluck your eye out BUT I believe he would rather you do that than commit a sin. Dont you?

Well in the past few months what I have seen is that they are really Trins. But I was still a Trin myself when I first began to understand Acts 2:38. The revelation of One God came later.

Its exciting to me to see a Church being led by the Spirit. More interesting than those who are farther along in truth but have become stale.
