No need to apologize for living what you believe! You have every right to believe it and live it! And you should be respected for that as well. The only problem that comes along is when you, if you do, tell everyone that they MUST follow the same convictions as you or they are lost etc. Maybe you don't do that and it's great if you don't, but when everyone is judged by our own personal convictions God is not happy, IMO.

When will we learn it is the HEART that matters to God. Follow your convictions, I just want mine to be from the Word of God.

I think we all know that it is the Heart that matters,
but I think we all know our actions follow our hearts,

it sometimes takes us in different directions,

where does a mountain begin? do you know?

I don't know about disrespecting "standards". But if preached as salvational, I'll have to argue that many of our "standards" are mere traditions of men and aren't biblical demands.
