What do you mean it looks frighteningly similar? I know what the Brownsville revival is but not sure I know about the girl that prayed at the revival that you are talking about? Forgive me, but would you fill me in?
I believe this is it. She was actually telling her story. I'll tell you what, what this girl did at the graduation is chicken feed compared to what people at Brownsville did.

My opinion is that it's out of order pretty much everywhere, especially a High School graduation.
Not impressed. I really don't see how God was glorified.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
I saw a lot of this kind of stuff in Toronto. I never went to Brownsville though. I grew up Pentecostal all my life, but I was a little freaked out by some of it. However, I do know people who were radically changed for the better by the revivals in Brownsville and Toronto. So, weird as it is, I'm going to leave it alone.

Yeah it was kinda scary actually. That girl shaking like that was big news and the "toronto/browsville" nuts thought it was of God. Did the AOG finally reign this in? I know it seemed like for a while the org was afraid to address it like the UPC is with the magic hair stuff

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

The only public mention of it I know of (though, likely, there were others -- I just haven't tried to track them down) was from Thomas Trask (then Gen. Sup.), a glowing endorsement. He said it was the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit. Seems like I've read, though, that there was some attempt to correct one particular incident: the prophecy by the pastor that Hank Hanegraaff's ministry would be shut down by God, if Hank didn't back off. (Hank didn't, and God didn't. )

I thought by watching this video that she was honestly either under the spirit and or she has some tremors from a health issue. But it seemed to me to be a manifestation of what the spirit was doing. I know some shake, some laugh, some moan or wail. That is how I saw it.

Did he really? I had the same impression Prax did...I thought the AG "system" distanced themselves from it. Interesting.

As the father of a child with a fairly serious seizure disorder, the video is offensive to me. If you're going accept this display of ridiculous antics, then you'd also have to accept a lady...I think she was in the choir or something....that shook like this the entire "revival". Wasn't she a teacher or something? I think she would begin shaking at her job...it's been a long time so I'm sketchy on the details.
But JTULLOCK, don't you dare disagree with me or I could spend 30 pages trying to straighten you out!
