Dunno Bro. You were in NYC before that. I don't think you've ever lived in "God's country" as they say.

Re: Earth Hour Nonsense
On the par when it comes to smog but one of the greatest kept secrets about NYC is its tap water that comes from the upstate resevoirs.
Seriously the best water I have ever had.

It also does not mean I am not aware of the junk science that promotes the idea of man made climate change. Recent events have proven many proponents of climate change (previously known as global warming until the warming stopped) are willing to outright lie and fabricate data while ignoring other data to promote their theories.
I am proud to say all lights were blazing in the CC1 household last night as a protest to the eco alarmists.

And I do not know ONE person who is FOR "dirty air" and "Polluted water".

Good posts. We are in agreement.

I also agree with above. I didn't change my usage but I did not turn anything off!

Re: Earth Hour Nonsense
Thank God for the USA where I can turn on every light in the house, the washer and dryer, 3 TV's, computer and laptop, refrigator and freezer, microwave, oven and 4 burners, hot water heater, appliances and stereos, ALL AT THE SAME TIME IF NECESSARY
I have apostolic brethern in the Philippines who are living with daily brown outs, the drought has caused such a drop in the rivers and dams that the power plants cannot meet the demand.

I think there is nothing wrong, but everything right about being CONSERVATIVE in regards to our environment.
The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof.
Just as my body is His Temple, the Earth is His creation and be it far from me to purposely show it disregard, disrespect or to abuse it.
I have actually thought about starting a recycling drive at my church, maybe as a way of being a fundraiser for Missionaries, Home Missions, or whatever.

We should be responsible stewards. I just don't see how forcing me to ride in a crowded smelly bus that belches clouds of diesel fumes for 4 hours a day is a fair way to offset Al Gore's private jet flights to Davos in the Swiss Alps.
The folks pushing this stuff put out such huge thermal footprints that you can see where they've been from space. How's that "helping" things out?
The simple fact of the matter is this: Yes, climate change is real. It has always been real. The only thing that doesn't change about this planet is the fact that it's constantly changing.
The fact that there are so many sink holes in Florida testifies to the fact that ocean levels were once much higher than they are now. In order for the sea levels to be that high there would have had to have been little or no polar ice at all.
We're human beings responsible for that " global warming?" Could human being have prevented it?
It's all a scam.

Re: Earth Hour Nonsense
I too believe in being a good steward of the environment. I believe that the private sector is perfectly able to address our environmental needs, we don't need a socialist totalitarian government guiding us by force of law to care for our world. I also believe that it's a biblical imparative that Christians be mindful and deliberate in our attempt to protect the environment.

It's a book about how Christians can benefit from applying Amish principals of simplicity to their own lives.
