Re: God's Grace, Love or Mercy will not SAVE you .
Why can't you all discuss the topic and not the person.
With what measure you mete it will be meted back to you!

After all the Gospel is the good news that by His Mercy, Love, and Grace we have access to salvation. The foundation we build on is Jesus not Standards.
1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

we have access.... That would be correct. Grace, Love, etc... does not mean one has obtained it. Christ obtained it by Grace, Love, etc... He now offers it.... We have access by accepting his price in exchange for eternal life. The foundation we build on is his covenant with us. He died so that we might obtain salvation. We come into covenant by paying the price we needed to pay because he CAN offer it to us based on what he did. Which is the same means he obtained it for us. John 15
Joh 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. Joh 15:6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. Joh 15:7If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Joh 15:8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. Joh 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. Joh 15:10If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. Joh 15:11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. Joh 15:12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Joh 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. Joh 15:14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.

What are Jesus' commandments? While He never mentioned clothing or hair or adornments, He did say we must be born again of the water and Spirit and that we must believe and be baptized. He did teach that we are to love God will our all. And that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves, and that we are to treat others as we would be treated.

I would agree.... This is about covenant living not about coming into covenant. coming into covenant begins with baptism and being united in his death etc.. Notice about ABIDING.. This is context to BELIEVERS those already IN covenant! Loving thy neighbor is the second aspect ofthe great two commandments upon which ALL the law and prophets hang. Staying within the order of creation is part of loving God and neighbor. I am a man and was created for a purpose thus I should conduct myself within that divine order. All scripture is given for instruction in righteousness. Mark 12:29-31 is just the head of which all the other hang. Hair and covering would be of divine order. By distinguishing myself accordingto this order I honor God and my fellow man by being a example and being what I should be both outward and inward. Loving thy neighbor doesn't stop at a slap on the back and hope your doing well. It deals with order upon which man was first designed and ordered to be within creation.
