Yep. Delaware too. And calling for another foot between Tuesday and Wednesday. Ohhh boooy.
I blame the groundhog for this.

Re: SNOW!!!!!!!!!!
The snow is beautiful. Wish we could have a pretty snow fall. We haven't seen snow on the ground in a very long time.

The only snow we get during Winter is a light dusting in the mountains surrounding the valley. But it is gorgeous and about as close to snow as I ever want to get again.

Re: SNOW!!!!!!!!!!
We woke up in Memphis this morning and were afraid we would be stranded for a few days!!! But by noon, the roads were clear enough to get back to Jackson safely. Now they are saying we may get 4 or more inches tonight here!! This is crazy weather for us.
I'm getting ready to head to Kroger and stock up on a few items in case we get homebound again.

They are closing work, SO.....now I have to get back home!

They closed work for 3 inches? wow. They're predicting a foot here tonight. With lots of winds so lots of blowing and drifting. One of my daycare moms has to drive her kids out to Swanton tomorrow from Toledo (where they live). That's about 25 minutes. Then she has to turn around and drive to Sylvania (another 25 minutes back almost like she came only more north). She called and asked her office manager to reschedule the meeting because of the predicted snow and was told emphatically that that would not happen. The only way they would cancel or change anything is if we have a Level 3 Snow Emergency declared. That happens rarely, so I think she's stuck (I hope that doesn't end up being literal).

Re: SNOW!!!!!!!!!!
Margie, when Zac was in elementary school, there were several mornings I would drive him to school, only to find out that no one was there. And the weather was doing nothing!! If there is mention of snow "flurries", not accumulation, they close because the bus drivers won't drive their routes.

Re: SNOW!!!!!!!!!!
I hear you, Sherri. When I worked a children's home in Barbourville, Ky. one year, we got 3" of snow on the first of January. The kids didn't go back to school until almost February! They said it was because it was too dangerous to take the busses back in the "hollers" where the sun doesn't shine enough to melt the snow.
