I wonder if the priest ever told the poor to get educations? Learn a trade? I wonder if he stressed proper financial planning to his congregants? If he ever told them about not making dumb financial decisions and being wasteful? Did he stress to them to have savings and emergency funds? I wonder if he mad eit clear to properly plan for a family so as not to be strapped with the expenses of children when they were not ready for it?

It seems like preachign a lot of wise prevention would be more prudent than preaching to go steal.
