Re: Go and LEARN mercy

Why can't we all be like you, Sis. Alvear?

Could it be if we strive to be like Jesus - we might be?

Last night looking over some of the posts I thought of the words of our Teacher...Learn Mercy....

No matter what we may believe if we have not first learned Mercy...we are NOT like Jesus...

To be LIKE Jesus should be our greatest desire...that does not mean we agree to sin but it does mean we must have the fruits of the spirit and we are NOT out to destroy someone else...
Excellent post.

It is shame this message is not pounded in pulpits like other issues. Perhaps because it is actually hard and thus not worthy of the chorus of amens! that clothsline sermons receive.

Re: Go and LEARN mercy

I have heard people call others soft, charismatic and all kinds of names because they were merciful...but I see Jesus in people that show love and compassion. Let us all strive (me included) to be more merciful and kind even to those that are unmerciful and unkind.
