Give her a porch, a Heineken and let her just hear about a crime that happened down the street from her house and she would get just as much tv coverage-- and she may even be portrayed in a better light!

You are wrong in so many ways. First, her political usefulness is huge at this point. She could probably raise more money than any other politician out there right now and She energizes a large portion of the conservative base. Many of you seem to think that politics is just about getting up and stating your view and hoping people will vote for you. Both Democrats and Republicans have to reach both their extremes and try to attract those in the middle as well. If you only attract those in the middle or those on the extreme you will lose. You may not like her message or her method but you are a fool if you think she is of no consequence.

What would be your opinion of the AP sending out 11 reporters to Fact Check Palin's book?
What do you suppose the purpose would be considering that the AP DID NOT
fact check, DID NOT review for accuracy recent books by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, then- Sen. Joe Biden, either books by Obama or the autobiographies of Bill or Hillary Clinton? Just news stories, but no fact checking.
They didn't even fact check books by Gingrich or Rudy Giuliani?

If she never PRESENTED HERSELF as ignorant in the first place then maybe you'd have a point.
The fact-finding mission you refer to is akin to the police doing an extra thorough check on someone they pull over-- after they run their driver license and find out that they have been convicted of trafficking drugs before.
Then as the policeman walks back to the car, they think they get a whiff of mary jane coming from the car.
Given the record of that driver, a more thorough investigation is definitley warranted.
Given the record of Sarah, they should investigate everything she states as truth.
If I have to choose between believing Palin or McCain's camp, which represents McCain, I believe McCain's camp EVERY TIME!

That would be nice wording, Jermyn, but no one else has been scrutinized so closely as Sarah Palin. We have to wonder why and why should that matter to us?
This would be their last ditch effort to silence and bury her. Doesn't that kind of make you scratch your head and wonder why this is so important to them?
