I have received that same email from several people over the past few days.

I wonder if they have actually read the prayer of Psalm 109:8-10.

In 1 Timothy 2:1-3 we are told to pray for our government officials.
I do this on a regular basis.

But, I don't think we ought to pray the prayer of Psalm 109:8-10 for our President. That just doesn't seem right to me (and I didn't vote for him).

I pray according to Psalm 109:8 that he will be relieved of his office while we still have a country with some freedoms left. I don't want his children to be orphans even though he does say children are a punishment.

I concur, I don't like the guys politics, beliefs. I can't stand the fact that he is in office and wish him farewell from it expeditiously. But I don't hate and wish him ill will either.

Praying that his wife and daughters would be widowed, orphaned and homeless is not a swell thing to do

I've seen some emails with reference to Psalm 109:8, but they haven't included the other verses.

Take it with a grain of salt. It's meant to be funny, not serious. I really doubt anyone here, even those of us who don't like BHO's policies or character, really want the children to be fatherless, etc.
