And don't be surprised if the UPC is left on the wayside arguing over whether or not to use television or arguing over neocon standards and misses out on this great event.
Many of the ones arguing about TV don't need a revival of salvation for themselves. I think it's great what you say about revival sweeping the denominations. But those who are saved and trying to keep TV out of the Church wont' "miss" anything in this regard, for they've already experienced salvation.

You again??

He is not talking about them receiving the salvation. He is talking about them seeing revival in those days. Either their doors will open so the flood can come in, or the doors closed and miss the boat altogether.

Don't be too sure of that. The Bible also speaks of a haughty spirit. Pride. Arrogance. I've seen quite a bit of that from both sides. *grin* I've known liberals who think they have a license to sin and still have grace; and I've seen conservatives who look every bit holy on the outside, but inside reek of all kinds of ungodliness.

To stir the pot a little, how have they already experienced salvation? Are they in heaven now? Is salvation complete when you get the HG?

I think not. Salvation is only fulfilled once we reach heaven. Either that, or we're preaching once saved always saved . . .

During the past four weeks, I've been a part of a Bible study in my city that is amazing in that the women are from Christian Churches, Methodist Churches, Baptist Churches, etc. There are about four of us from a Spirit filled church. What is amazing is that all these women have recently received the baptism of the Holy Ghost or are very interested in it. They are like hungry little birds just taking in everything that is taught. It makes me ashamed that we have sat on truth for so long and felt prideful and not really felt like we had to hunger after truth. They are desperate for God in their lives in a fresh new way. It's very refreshing!

I have experienced salvation to the degree that I am ready no matter how it would happen at this moment. But, I don't imply that I am eternally secure until raptured, dead or alive.

My point was that we can say that the UPC will miss the revival while arguing about TV, but it really won't.....that is IF it still exists.

If what exists? The television debate, or the UPC?

Sherri that is very good to hear!! In the last days people will be reached no matter where they are at. That is how good God is. He comes down to our level and speaks in our language so we can understand.

God's promises are true! In then days I will pour out my spirit on ALL flesh. Let it pour out from heaven and pour into our hearts. Into our churches, towns, Bible studies, coffee shops, shopping malls, etc. Let it rain!

Today, the lesson was on grace. That scripture that says, "...full of grace and truth" really got to me. Because I realized that the way I was raised, I felt full of truth, but we didn't have any grace for those not there yet. I had to repent for my attitude once again.
